The Autumn 2017 ladder finished on Friday, 15 December, having run for 42 sessions, taking into account scores from the regular Monday, Wednesday, and Friday duplicates.

Ranking is by average of the ten best scores with four different partners. (Friday IMP scores are converted to percentages for ladder purposes; the Cross‑IMPs page explains how.)

The prize fund was £500. Congratulations to the winner on 58.73%, Sarah Bell, pictured receiving first prize of £250 from committee member Mike Eden.

The remaining two prizes also went to relatively young players. In second place on 57.78%, and getting a prize of £150, was Shahzaad Natt. In third place on 57.65% and getting £100, was Alexandra Birchall.

Although there was a prize on offer for the highest placed student, in the event none played enough games to qualify. (The moral for students in future is just to turn up.)
